Cal Poly Pomona Written on June 25, 2007 CALPOLY acknowledges AIMS support June 25, 2007 Dear Mr. Cherner, When I meet university supporters, I offer talk about the difference between a good public university and a great one. That difference lies in the commitment of alumni and friends, parents and corporate leaders. Simply put, great universities have strong relationships with people like you. Through your commitment and generosity, Cal Poly Pomona has been able to create scholarships and laboratories as well as enhanced technology and curricula, all the attributes expected of a great university. We all know that a top-notch education requires top-notch technology, which comes at a price increasingly borne by our students. That’s why your support is even more meaningful today. I am pleased to announce our current Annual Report of Giving & Honor Roll Donors is now online. The publication allows us to document the progress achieved through external support. Please visit www.csupomona.edu/annualreport, which features the names of each donor who supported the university during the 2005-2006 academic year. What’s next for Cal Poly Pomona? I am excited to say we are on the launching pad of an extraordinary era as we prepare for an upcoming comprehensive capital campaign. Through this effort, which will literally transform this university, we will create new complexes for the College of Business Administration and College of Environmental Design. We will also set new standards for endowed scholarships while attracting the best and brightest faculty in the country. The future is quite bright for Cal Poly Pomona, mostly because the company we keep. Thank you again for your continued support! Warmest regards, J.
